Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (26-13) began the double-elimination NJAC Tournament with a 6-1 win over Kean University (20-21). The Ospreys are the No. 4 seed and Kean is the No. 5 seed. Stockton rapped 10 hits in the victory.
Emily Spencer (Southampton/Seneca) led the offense with three hits, including a double, and a run scored. Spencer extended her hitting streak to six games.
Alexa Panagopoylos (Atco/Hammonton) made it five straight games with a hit by going 2-4 with two RBI.
The game was scoreless into the bottom of the third when Spencer doubled and then scored on an RBI double by
Emma Coldsnow (Yorktown, Va./Tabb).
Caitlin Cetrulo (Caldwell/Caldwell) followed with an RBI single for a 2-0 lead.
In the fifth inning, Cetrulo picked up her second RBI when she was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Two batters later, Panagopoylos stroked a two-run single that boosted the lead to 5-0.
Kean got on the board with an RBI single by Maya Thompson in the top of the sixth, but the Ospreys answered with an unearned run in the bottom half for the 6-1 triumph.

Nerina Tramp (Blackwood/Highland) earned her 14th win of the season, tying the fourth best total in program history. Tramp allowed one run on four hits with seven strikeouts and two walks in the complete game.
For Kean, Thompson finished 1-3 with an RBI while Andee Perseponko walked twice and scored the lone run for the Cougars.
The tournament shifts to Kean University on Saturday, with the Ospreys taking on No. 1 seed Rowan University, which is ranked second in the NFCA Division III poll, at 11:00 a.m.
