Salisbury, Md. – Stockton University (1-1) fell to third-ranked Salisbury University (1-0) 5-2 on Sunday afternoon. Two goals by the home team in the first 20 minutes created a deficit that the Ospreys could not overcome.

Maura Somers (Berlin/Eastern Regional) dished the assist for her first point as an Osprey. The Sea Gulls tacked on another marker and Stockton trailed 3-1 at the half.
The margin grew to 5-1 before freshman
Leah Bruchansky (Medford/Shawnee) netted her first career goal with an assist by
Kylee Donegan (Shamong/Seneca) to set the final at 5-2.

Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) made nine saves for the Ospreys. Marli McDorman led Salisbury with three goals.
Stockton will play its home opener on Wednesday when the Ospreys host Haverford College at 7:00 p.m.
