Baltimore, MD – Stockton University (4-1) ran their winning streak to three straight, as the Ospreys downed Notre Dame (MD (0-3-2) by a 2-1 final on Saturday afternoon. Thomas Trimble (Emerson/Emerson) scored the winning goal in the second half.
 
Stockton broke the scoreless affair in the 41st minute when Ernst Louisius (Asbury Park/Neptune) converted a penalty kick for the 1-0 advantage. The Ospreys held a 9-1 margin in shots but could only score the one tally.
 
The Gators knotted the match just 1:55 into the final stanza, and the game would stay at 1-1 until Trimble scored the eventual game winner.
 
At 58:16, the senior back helped Stockton push into the box, where Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) made a nifty pass from the right side of the net. His helper found Trimble in front and he scored his first marker of the season. From there the Osprey defense locked down the home team and came away with the 2-1 victory.
 
Brady Bartletta (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) earned the win in goal without having to make a save.
 
Stockton will have a quick turnaround when they return home to face Drew at G. Larry James Stadium tomorrow afternoon in a match that was re-scheduled from Thursday. Game time is 5 pm.
