Ospreys of the Week 24

Ospreys of the Week: September 9-14, 2025

Field Hockey
Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.) scored in both games last week, totaling two goals and one assist for five points. Bailey also made two defensive saves and converted one of her two attempts in the shootout against Scranton. She is tied for the team lead with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists).
 
Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) made 15 saves with a 2.14 goals against and a .750 save percentage in two games last week. Roura made a season high 10 saves against Scranton.
 
Men's Soccer
Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) tallied a goal and an assist for three points in three games last week. Hoenisch scored his second goal of the season to give Stockton an early 1-0 lead over NYU and later assisted on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 triumph over Notre Dame (Md.).
 
Ernst Louisius (Asbury Park/Neptune) scored two goals and one assist for the week, leading the team with five points. Both of his markers came on penalty kicks, one apiece against NYU and Drew. Louisius currently has a four-game point streak (3 goals, 1 assist).
 
Women's Soccer
Makayla Jaffe (Middletown/Middletown South) scored her first career goal to give Stockton an early lead on the way to a 5-0 win against Centenary. Jaffe led the team with eight shots in two games last week.
 
Megan Morris (Sicklerville/Bishop Eustace) scored her team-leading third goal of the season against Centenary. Morris leads the Ospreys with nine points on three goals and two assists in seven games.
 
Volleyball
Laila Newborn (Lower Merion/Lower Merion) led the team with nine blocks in two matches, with seven coming in a 3-2 victory over Eastern University. Newborn also spiked five kills and served a pair of aces last week.
 
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) led the team with 31 kills and a .319 hitting percentage and also tied for team high with 24 digs in two matches last week. Louer posted double-doubles in kills and digs in both matches, highlighted by a career-high 19 kills against Eastern University.
 
Men's Cross Country
Conor Clifford (Monmouth Beach/CBA), in his first race at Stockton, placed a team-best 11th out of 100 runners at the Kutztown University DII/III Challenge with an 8K time of 26:55.80. Clifford led Stockton, one of just two Division III teams at the meet, to sixth place. 
 
Josh Corsentino (Brick/Brick Memorial) joined Clifford in the top 20 out of 100 runners at the Kutztown University DII/III Challenge by placing 20th with a time of 27:26.70 for eight kilometers. Corsentino was the second Osprey finisher.
 
Women's Cross Country
Maddy Valasek (Medford/Shawnee) led Stockton with a top-10 finish out of 83 runners at the Kutztown University DII/III Challenge. Valasek placed 10th overall with a time of 23:43.20 for six kilometers and helped Stockton to a fifth-place finish.
 
Freshman Sophia Cornell (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) completed Stockton's top five in 39th place out of 83 runners at the Kutztown University DII/III Challenge, running 25:31.00 over the 6K course. Cornell was selected NJAC Rookie of the Week for her efforts.
