Allentown, Pa. – Stockton University (2-1) exploded for three late goals and shut out DeSales University (1-1) 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The Ospreys outshot the Bulldogs 22-4 and scored three times in the last 16 minutes of the game.
Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) led Stockton with a goal and an assist.
Ernst Louisius (Asbury Park/Neptune) and
Chris Krall (Bordentown/Florence Twp.) netted one goal apiece.
Hoenisch got the Ospreys on the board at 74:19 with an assist by
Joseph A. Carbone (East Brunswick/East Brunswick). Louisius made it 2-0 with 8:21 remaining in the game and Krall capped the 3-0 triumph 2:16 later with an assist from
Uche Wokocha (Galloway/St. Augustine Prep).
Stockton goalkeeper
Brady Bartletta (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) made three saves for his 14th career shutout and first of the season. DeSales goalie Jimmy Shensky finished with six stops for the home team.
Stockton's next game will be against NYU on Monday, September 8 at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark at 7:00 p.m.
