Madison, NJ – Stockton University (2-2) snapped a two-game losing streak with a dominant performance in a 4-0 shutout over FDU-Florham (1-2) on Saturday afternoon.
Brooke Ruiz (Voorhees/Eastern) scored her first two goals as an Osprey to lead the team. Stockton held a commanding 49-1 advantage on shots with 29 on net.
The Ospreys got on the board in the first period when
Makayla Alessi (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) scored her second of the season at 7:20.
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern) inserted a penalty corner to
Maura Somers (Berlin/Eastern), who found Alessi for the first marker of the game.

Olivia Catalano (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) tallied her first goal of the year on an assist from
Meghan Phillips (Somers Point/Holy Spirit. The assist was the first career point for the freshman. A scoreless second frame kept it at in 2-0 in favor of the Ospreys at the half.
Ruiz then iced the contest with goals in the final two periods. In the third quarter, she potted her own rebound for her first career goal at Stockton. The Belmont Abbey transfer would seal the game with her second marker of the game at 50: 38 that would end the 4-0 rout.
Goalkeeper
Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) made just one save in posting her first shutout of the year and the sixth of her career.
Devils net minder Adrianna Goodwin made an outstanding 25 saves for the Devils in goal.
Stockton will return home for their next game, when the Ospreys face Bryn Mawr College on Wednesday night in Galloway. Game time is scheduled for 7pm.
