Holmdel, N.J. – Stockton University opened the 2025 season by running in the Stevens Back to the Bowl Invitational at Holmdel Park. The Ospreys finished second out of 10 teams that scored in the meet behind only Wagner College. Stockton's top five all finished 14th or higher out of 74 runners, and four of them ran their first college race.
 
Paige McCabe (Moorestown/Moorestown) led the Ospreys by finishing eighth with a time of 21:24.40 for five kilometers.
 
Freshman Madison Pratt (Galloway/Absegami) placed 10th with a time of 21:48.30.
 
Sarah Rutledge (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT), the lone returnee among Stockton's top five, placed 12th with a time of 21:52.50.
 
Freshman Grace Wojciechowski (Marlton/Cherokee) followed five seconds later at 21:57.60 for 13th place.
 
Freshman Sophia Cornell (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) was the next finisher in 14th place with a time of 22:03.90 to round out the five scorers for the Ospreys.
 
Stockton will compete in the Kutztown University DII/DIII Challenge next Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m.
