Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (10-7, 7-3 NJAC) won their third game in a row and fourth in the last five, with an 83-70 victory over Kean University (9-8, 6-4 NJAC) on Wednesday night.
Eriq Campbell (West Atco/Lindenwold) led four Ospreys in double figures with 15 points and scored a double-double with a game-high 10 rebounds.

Campbell got things started with a dunk off the opening tip and Stockton rolled out to a 23-22 lead at the 10:17 mark. The Cougars took their only lead of the game 40 seconds later at 24-23, but a 7-0 run fueled by four points from
Andrew Crawford (Haddon Heights/Camden Catholic) and a three ball by
Logan Mckee (Glen Mills/Phelps School) gave the Ospreys back the advantage at 30-23.

The home squad hit a season-high 16 three-point baskets, including 10 in the first half to take a 47-38 lead into the break.

The Ospreys kept up the pressure in the final stanza leading by as many as 19 at 59-40, but the Cougars slowly whittled the margin down. A 29-16 run sliced the lead to 75-69 with 3:41 remaining in regulation, but that was as close as the visitors would come, as Stockton finished the game with an 8-1 run to seal the 83-70 victory.

Tayvon Gaither (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) and Crawford added 15 points each, with
Justin Harper (Bridgeton/Wildwood Catholic) chipping in with 14 markers. Stockton shot a solid 49.1% (28-57) from the field including 16-30 (53.3% from behind the arc for the contest.

For Kean, Malachi Jeffers-Viera led all players with 31 points. Deaundre Clark and Daniel Dextraze added 13 points each, with Dextraze pulling down a team-high eight rebounds. Â

Stockton will face William Paterson in a 1pm matchup on Saturday. The game will be at Gerry Matthews Court at Stockton.
