Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (10-8, 7-4 NJAC) saw their three-game win streak halted by William Paterson University (17-1, 11-0 NJAC) by a 60-51 score on Saturday afternoon.
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) and
Zemirah Enalls (Barnegat/Barnegat) led the Ospreys with 12 points each. The Pioneers are ranked #20 in the WBCA poll.

The Ospreys and Pioneers battled to a 13-13 tie after one period, as
Grace Speer (Estell Manor/ACIT) led the home team with four points. William Paterson forged a 24-22 lead at the break outscoring Stockton 11-9 during the second frame. Speer was in the middle of things with three points and four rebounds.

The third quarter was the difference in the game as the visitors ran off the first nine points of the stanza to take a 33-25 advantage. Fathi and Enalls led the charge for Stockton in the frame, scoring five points each as Paterson took a 43-35 lead into the final quarter.

Madisyn McNair (Hackensack/Hackensack) hit a three-point basket to slice the margin to five at 43-38 to begin the final period, but that was as close as Stockton would come, as the Pioneers took the period 17-16 to set the final score at 60-51.

In addition to her scoring, Fathi topped all players with five assists and led Stockton with a pair of steals. Enalls grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, with McNair adding 10 points.

Stockton will take to the road for their next contest as the Ospreys will travel to Ewing, NJ to face The College of New Jersey on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 5 pm.
