Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (7-6, 4-2 NJAC) jumped back into conference play with a resounding 57-39 victory over Rutgers-Camden (6-7, 3-3 NJAC) at The Sports Center. The Ospreys built a 15-point halftime lead and stayed in front by double figures for the entire second half.
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) scored a season-high 20 points, highlighted by a perfect 4-4 from beyond the arc. With two treys in the first half, Fathi became the seventh player in Stockton history to reach 100 career three-pointers.
Zemirah Enalls (Barnegat/Barnegat) notched her second straight double-double with 11 points and a career-high 21 rebounds. The 21 boards by Enalls were the most by an NJAC player in any game this season and tied the second highest total in Stockton history.
Lauren Winant (Middletown/Middletown South) scored six points followed by
Grace Speer (Estell Manor/ACIT) with five points and seven rebounds.
Fathi scored Stockton's first eight points of the game and sparked the Ospreys to a slim 14-13 lead after one quarter. Stockton then broke the game open by shutting out Rutgers-Camden in the second period. Fathi scored five points, including her 100th three-pointer, during the 14-0 quarter that gave the Ospreys a 28-13 lead at halftime.
Six different Stockton players scored in the third quarter as the Ospreys extended the lead to 43-28. Enalls netted eight of her team's 14 points in the fourth stanza, and Stockton closed out the 57-39 triumph.
Courtney Edmundo paced Rutgers-Camden with 10 points and six rebounds followed by Hope Goodwine with seven points and four assists.
Stockton's next game will be at Montclair State on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
