Galloway, N.J. - Stockton University (1-0) began the 2026 season with an 11-9 victory over Neumann University (0-1). The Ospreys opened up a seven-goal lead in the third quarter and held off the Knights down the stretch.

Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) scored a game-high five goals and reached the 100-goal mark for her career. Marinello became the third Stockton player to reach the century mark.

Brielle Soltys (Absecon/Holy Spirit) made an outstanding debut as she set a school record with nine caused turnovers and added eight ground balls plus four assists.
Madison MacGillivray (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) tallied two goals and an assist.

Stockton trailed 3-2 early in the second quarter before reeling off eight consecutive goals. Marinello netted four markers,
Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) added two and freshman
Maisy Mosier (Berlin/Eastern Regional) potted her first career goal during the outburst.

When Marinello capped the run with her 100th career goal, the Ospreys led 10-3 with 7:09 left in the third period.

Neumann answered with three straight goals in a span of 2:29 to make it 10-6 after three. The Knight then struck for three more tallies in 1:30 to get within 10-9 with 7:51 left in the game.

After more than four scoreless minutes, Soltys fed
Julia Gibson (Cape May Point/Lower Cape May) for Stockton's first goal in 19 minutes, which gave the Ospreys an 11-9 edge and clinched the triumph.

Jordan Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) earned the win with six saves and
Gina Marotta (Montville/Montville) grabbed seven ground balls.

Alena Catka paced Neumann with three goals and a game-high 10 draw controls. Tessa Vannello added two goals and three assists while Knights' goalie Sarah Kiraly made seven saves.
