Stockton Downs DeSales 16-6

Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (2-0) captured their second straight win with a convincing 16-6 victory over DeSales University (0-3) on Saturday afternoon. Alex DeLierre (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) tied his career-high with six goals on the day to lead the home team.
 
The game was tightly contested at in the first period with Stockton holding a 3-1 lead, on the strength of two goals by Colin Wagner (Birdsboro, PA/Daniel Boone) and the first career marker from freshman Calen Reid (Oak Ridge/Jefferson Twp.).
 
The Ospreys took control of the game in the second frame, outscoring the Bulldogs 7-1 to take a comfortable 10-2 advantage at the break. Three goals by DeLierre, a pair from Wagner and one each from Reid and Gage Parker (Gilbertsville, PA/Boyertown) gave Stockton the cushion.
 
The Bulldogs sliced the margin to 12=-5 after three periods, but the Ospreys sealed the game with four scores, two by DeLierre to capture the 16-6 victory.
 
Cole Blum (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) was upstanding in the face-off circle, winning 15-21 (71.4%) and scooping a game-high 11 ground balls. Josh Graham (Garnet Valley, PA/Garnet Valley) dished a game-high three helpers and added a goal.
 
Goalkeeper Ben Blum (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) played the first half, making six saves in net and earning his first win of the season. Tyler Sininsky (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) played the second half making four saves.
 
For the Bulldogs, TJ Kearns scored three goals to lead the team.
 
Stockton will travel to Aston, PA for their next match, when the Ospreys take on Neumann University on Tuesday. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm
