Stockton Competes in Fastrack National Invite

Staten Island, N.Y. – Stockton University returned to the Ocean Breeze Complex for the third time this season and competed in the Fastrack National Invite. Several events included over 100 competitors, primarily from NCAA Division II and Division III.
 
Eva Morrison (Northfield/Mainland) was the highest finisher for the Ospreys as she placed fifth out of 37 entrants in the pole vault (3.35m). Adrienne Austin (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) finished seventh out of 54 sprinters in the 60m (8.11 seconds) and 26th out of 106 with a personal best in the 200m (26.52 seconds).
 
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) placed 33rd out of 100 runners in the 400m (1:00.86) and 12th out of 24 in the triple jump (10.53m). Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) was 19th out of 104 in the 800m (2:21.19).
 
Maddy Valasek (Medford/Shawnee) finished 16th out of 58 runners in the 3000m (10:37.80). In the shot put, Marie Torode (Succasunna/Roxbury) placed 15th out of 44 (11.01m) and Jessica Bentley (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) was 17th (10.95m).
 
In addition to Stockton's participation in the Fastrack National Invite, Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) and Marlie DiPalma (Hackettstown/Pope John XXIII) competed in the pentathlon at the Utica Blue & Gold Invitational.
 
Styer won in a field of 11 with a total of 3,570 points that is the best in NCAA Division III this season. DiPalma competed in the multi-event for the first time in her career and finished third (2,741 points).
 
Next weekend, Stockton will compete in the Widener Indoor Classic on February 13-14.
