Philadelphia, Pa. – Stockton University attended the TCNJ Last Chance at the Ott Center on Sunday afternoon. Sixteen members of the Osprey women's team competed in a combined total of 11 events.
Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) shaved one hundredth of a second off her own school record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.82 seconds in the prelims. Styer moved into a tie for 20th in the nation and finished fifth out of 11 competitors. She also placed second out of four in the high jump (1.63m).
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) moved into 22nd in the nation and finished third out of eight in the triple jump with an indoor personal best of 11.49m.
Eva Morrison (Northfield/Mainland) tied for second with an unattached competitor and finished behind only former Stockton All-American Kaitlyn Dermen in the pole vault (3.50m).
Sydney Rick (Pennington/Hopewell Valley) placed fourth out of eight in the pole vault (3.20m).
Evelynn Austin (Sparta/Pope John XXIII) was the runner-up out of eight in the 3000m (10:50.61) and
Maddy Valasek (Medford/Shawnee) placed second out of six in the mile (5:12.13).
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) finished third out of nine runners in the 800m (2:18.84).
Stockton team members will attend a second "last chance" meet next week, traveling to New England for the Tufts University Last Chance on March 7.
