Collegeville, PA – Stockton University (6-1) could not withstand a fourth quarter rally snapping their six-game, as the Ospreys dropped a 12-10 decision to Ursinus College (4-2) on Saturday afternoon.
Jack Vandegrift (Jenkintown, PA/LaSalle College Prep) and
Alex DeLierre (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) led the team with three goals each.
The Bears took an early 4-1 lead after one frame, before Stockton got untracked in period two. DeLierre and Vandegrift both hit the net twice as the Ospreys got within one at 6-5 at the break.
Stockton kept the pressure on outscoring the home team to forge their first lead at 9-8 after three periods of play. DeLierre,
Colin Wagner (Birdsboro, PA/Daniel Boone),
Liam Humphrey (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) and
Nate Sears (Medford/Shawnee) tallied the markers giving Stockton the one goal advantage heading into the final frame.
Vandegrift made it 10-8, but that would be the last goal of the day for the Ospreys. The Bears rattled off the final four goals and held on for the 12-10 victory.
Freshman
Brody Nussman (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) topped all players with three assists with
Shane Phillips (Springfield, PA/Springfield Delco) leading the defense with four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Tyler Sininsky (Manahawkin/Southern Regional), who made six stops but suffered the loss in net.
For the Bears, Daniel Rice, and Harry Sweitzer each scored three goals. Goalkeeper Colin Daroch made 10 saves in earning the win.
Stockton will travel to Chestertown, MD on Wednesday afternoon to face Washington College for their next game. Face-off is scheduled for 4 pm
