Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (10-0) remained unbeaten and extended its winning streak to 10 games with a pair of run-rule victories over Neumann University (5-7) by scores of 16-0 and 9-1 in five innings apiece.
McKenna George (Centennial, Colo/Eaglecrest) rapped five hits in the sweep.
Twelve different Ospreys recorded a hit in the first game. George went 2-4 with two runs, one double, one RBI and one stolen base.
Emma Coldsnow (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) added two hits, including a solo homer to straightaway centerfield, and scored twice.
Camryn Harry (Swedesboro/Paul VI) rapped two hits, including a double, and tallied three RBI while
Caitlin Cetrulo (Caldwell/Caldwell) smacked a double, drove in three runs and scored once.
Freshman
Jordan Jennings (Philadelphia, Pa./MAST Charter) ripped an RBI triple in her first career plate appearance.
Evangelina Kim (Egg Harbor Twp./Atlantic Christian) and
Bryana Martinez (Paramus/Paramus) each collected their first career hit.
Stockton scored two runs apiece in the first and third innings plus six runs each in the second and fourth frames for the 16-0 rout.
Elizabeth Martin (Port Republic/Cedar Creek) pitched three scoreless innings with a career-high five strikeouts and just one hit allowed for the win.
George and Cetrulo produced three hits apiece in the second game. George added three runs, two stolen bases and an RBI while Cetrulo compiled two runs, two RBI and a stolen base in addition to extending her hitting streak to nine games.
Coldsnow stroked two hits and totaled four RBI.
Casey Sokol (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) chipped in with two hits and an RBI at the plate to go with three perfect innings pitched and four strikeouts for the win.
The Ospreys jumped on top 4-0 in the bottom of the first and tacked on three runs in the second inning followed by two more in the third. Neumann scored its only run of the day in the fourth frame before Stockton completed the sweep 9-1.
Up next, Stockton will play at doubleheader at 11-2 Muhlenberg on Saturday at noon.
