Stockton Rolls to 16-4 Win over Alvernia

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (6-3) defeated Alvernia University (1-8) in an impressive 16-4 victory to push their winning streak to three. The Ospreys scored the first 11 goals of the game.

Stockton got on the board within the first minute with a goal from freshman Brielle Soltys (Absecon/Holy Spirit), assisted by Maisy Mosier (Berlin/Eastern Regional). The Ospreys went on a 7-0 scoring run in just the first quarter. They were led by Soltys, who scored three goals in the period.

The second period got off to a similar start. The Ospreys continued their offensive pressure. Stockton saw four different goal scorers, with Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell), Allie Prickett (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan), Aubrey Giordano (Mt. Olive/Mt. Olive), who all reached two goals during this period, and Mosier's first goal of the game.

Stockton saw a goalie change come in the second period with freshman Abbey Schaeffer (Rehoboth, Del./Cape Henlopen) coming in for Jordan Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial). The Golden Wolves scored their first goal late in the second period from Grace Weissenberger, who scored two in the quarter.

Isabella Donisi (Williamstown/Williamstown) opened the scoring in the third period. The Golden Wolves answered back by going on a two-goal run. This offensive push was still not enough for the Golden Wolves as the Ospreys scored two more goals in the third period.

Mosier put the game to rest in the fourth period with two goals, finishing the game with a hat trick. The Ospreys had nine different players score a goal. Soltys led the team with three goals, two assists, nine draw controls, seven ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Mosier, Giordano and Elisa Dougherty (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) finished with four points apiece.
