Stockton Tops Marymount 8-6 for Fourth Straight Win

Arlington, Va. – Stockton University (7-3) extended its winning streak to four with an 8-6 victory over Marymount University (4-5). The Ospreys used an early three-goal burst to take the lead, and they stayed in front the rest of the way.

Stockton goalkeeper Jordan Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) tied her career high with 11 saves and Maisy Mosier (Berlin/Eastern Regional) led the offense with two goals and an assist.

After Marymount scored first, Aubrey Giordano (Mt. Olive/Mt. Olive) sandwiched two goals around one by Isabella Marinello (Caldwell/Caldwell). The three Stockton tallies came in a span of 2:51 and gave the visitors a 3-1 lead.

Stockton added to a 4-3 edge with goals by Allie Prickett (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) and Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) for a 6-3 advantage at halftime. Mosier scored the only goal by either team in the third quarter, and Stockton went to the fourth on top 7-3.

The Ospreys equaled their largest lead of the game when Julia Gibson (Cape May Point/Lower Cape May) scored with 9:30 remaining to make it 8-4. Marymount trimmed the margin in half at 8-6 with 3:51 left, but Stockton did not allow another shot on goal and prevailed by two.

Brielle Soltys (Absecon/Holy Spirit) chipped in with six ground balls and a game-high five caused turnovers. Gina Marotta (Montville/Montville) added six ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers.
