Stockton Records Fifth Straight Win, 17-8

Allentown, Pa. - Stockton University (8-3) won their fifth straight game with a 17-8 victory in a strong offensive showing versus DeSales University (6-4). Stockton got in control of the game in the first period and never lost it.

Nine straight goals came from the Ospreys on the way to an 11-2 lead in the first period. Stockton had two players with a hat trick in the first quarter, Aubrey Giordano (Mt. Olive/Mt. Olive) and Brielle Soltys (Absecon/Holy Spirit).

The Ospreys' other goals came from Isabella Marinello's (West Caldwell/Caldwell) two and Allie Prickett (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan), Julia Gibson (Cape May Point/Lower Cape May) and Maisy Mosier (Berlin/Eastern Regional) with one goal apiece.

In the second quarter, the Ospreys kept their pressure. Madison MacGillivray (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) scored two, and Soltys and Giordano added to their totals. Jordan Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) picked up her first save of the game in the second period, but the Bulldogs grabbed two goals in the second period, going into the third 15-5.

The third period was quiet for both the Ospreys and Bulldogs, seeing only one goal come from Stockton's Soltys, her fifth of the game. Czackowski played a large part in no goals being scored against the Ospreys with four saves.

In the fourth period, Giordano scored the Ospreys' only goal of the quarter, closing her outstanding offensive showing with her fifth goal of the game. Czackowski snatched three more saves to put her total at eight for the game.

Gina Marotta (Montville/Montville) led the Ospreys' defense with seven draw controls, putting her one away from 100 for her career. Mosier was second in draw controls for the team with five.

The Bulldogs' Olivia Costa led her team with five goals.

Stockton will look to bring their winning streak to six on Thursday, April 2 at 4 p.m. at home against Kean University.
