Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (9-3, 1-0 NJAC) scored the first nine goals of the game and dominated Kean University (4-6, 0-1 NJAC) 20-2 in the first conference game of the season for both teams. The win was Stockton's sixth in a row.
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) tied her own school record with 10 points as she netted five goals and dealt five assists.
Madison MacGillivray (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) contributed four goals and two assists for six points, followed by
Maisy Mosier (Berlin/Eastern Regional) with four goals.
Gina Marotta (Montville/Montville) totaled six ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers, reaching 100 draw controls for her career.
Brielle Soltys (Absecon/Holy Spirit) tallied seven caused turnovers, one off the school record, plus two goals, two assists and four ground balls.
MacGillivray sparked the Ospreys to a 5-0 lead with three goals and an assist in the first quarter. Stockton pumped in eight markers in the second period for a 13-2 lead at the half. Marinello racked up three goals and three assists while Mosier scored three times in the quarter.
The Ospreys coasted in the second half, with Marinello picking up two more goals and an assist followed by Soltys and
Shyanne Nucifora (Lacey Twp./Lacey Twp.) with a goal and an assist apiece. Overall, nine different Stockton players found the scoresheet with a point in the 20-2 triumph.
Ella Petrosh paced Kean with one goal, five draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Emilie Schultz also scored a goal for the Cougars.
Stockton's next game will be at 15th-ranked Rowan University on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
