Salisbury, MD – Stockton University (4-10) found offense hard to come by, as the Ospreys fell to Salisbury University (16-5) by a 10-0 score in eight innings. Yenuelle Rodriguez (Vineland/Vineland) led the Ospreys with two of their four hits on the day.
 
The Seagulls are ranked #8 nationally by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
 
The home team plated five runs in the first two innings for the early lead. Stockton was only able to forge one try at breaking through, when they loaded the bases with two outs in the top half of the third frame, but came away empty.
 
Salisbury tacked on five more markers over the next five innings to salt away the 10-0 whitewash.
 
Freshman Sal Cassano (Matawan/Matawan), the fifth of six Osprey hurlers on the day, made his collegiate pitching debut with a scoreless seventh inning.

Stockton will begin NJAC play with a home doubleheader against Montclair State on Sunday. First pitch in game one is scheduled for 11:30 am.
