Ewing, N.J. – Stockton University (10-5, 2-2 NJAC) began the final week of the regular season with a 17-3 setback to The College of New Jersey (13-2, 4-0 NJAC), which is ranked 18th in the nation by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).
Aubrey Giordano (Mt. Olive/Mt. Olive) and
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) led the Ospreys with a goal and an assist apiece.
Anissa Serafine (Tabernacle/OLMA) tossed in one goal.
Brielle Soltys (Absecon/Holy Spirit) tied for game-high honors with six ground balls and led the Ospreys with four caused turnovers while also snagging two draw controls. Fellow rookie
Maisy Mosier (Berlin/Eastern Regional) recorded three caused turnovers, two ground balls and two draw controls.
Giordano scored midway through the first quarter to tie the game 1-1. Serafine and Marinello each potted a goal in the third quarter.
Marissa Lucca paced TCNJ with seven goals and five assists for 12 points. Evie Campbell scored four goals for the Lions.
Stockton will finish the regular season with a home game against Ramapo on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
