Yenuelle Rodriguez (Vineland/Vineland) and
Nick Avagnano (Paramus/Paramus) each had two hits.

Avagnano scored twice and smacked his 41st career double, breaking the all-time mark of 40 set by
Jordan Nitti (2022-25).

Matthew McCloskey (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) smashed his first career home run and drove in three RBI.

Colin McGeehan (Matawan/Matawan), the fourth hurler of the day, pitched 2.2 scoreless innings allowing just one hit.

How it Happened
Stockton jumped out to an early 1-0 after one inning on a Rodriguez RBI single.

The Golden Wolves answered with three runs over the next two frames to forge a 3-1 advantage, before breaking the game open with seven markers in the top of the sixth inning. Three home runs in the inning accounted for six of the runs.

The Ospreys responded when McCloskey blasted his round tripper, a three-run shot, to close the gap to 10-4 after six frames.

Two more runs by Alvernia, offset one by Stockton over the final three innings, to set the final score at 12-5.

For Alvernia
Timmy Hitchcock, Bobby Hansen and Will Woodring all homered with Hitchcock hitting a grand slam.

Hitchcock went 4-4 on the day with six RBI.

Tyler Weil-Kaspar pitched five innings in earning his first win of the season.
