Fogg Claims Second Team All-America Honor at NCAA Championships

La Crosse, Wis. – Stockton University junior Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) earned his fourth career All-American honor by finishing ninth out of 22 competitors in the long jump at the NCAA Championships. By finishing between ninth and 16th, Fogg qualified for Second Team All-America status.
 
Fogg's top distance of 7.20 meters came on the third of his six attempts. The mark was his third best in seven meets this season. Fogg secured a Second Team All-America spot in the outdoor long jump for the second straight year. He also was a First Team All-American in the long jump and Second Team All-American in the triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March.
 
The Second Team All-America accolade capped an outdoor season in which Fogg was the NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete, NJAC First Team an USTFCCCA All-Region in the long jump and NJAC Second Team in the triple jump.
 
Also today, Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) competed in four events on the first day of the women's heptathlon at the NCAA Championships and stood in fourth place in a very close competition with 3,061 points. Styer will finish the heptathlon by competing in the last three events tomorrow.

Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) qualified for the final of the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.41 that was fourth in her heat and eighth out of 22 competitors overall. Petrolia will compete in teh 400m final on Saturday.
