Stockton V8 Earns Bronze Medal at Dad Vail Regatta

Pennsauken, N.J. – Stockton University closed out the 2025-26 season with three crews rowing in the Dad Vail Regatta, which is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States. The Stockton varsity eight provided the biggest highlight with a bronze medal.
 
The Ospreys captured the bronze medal in the Women's DIII Varsity Eight for the third straight year and earned a medal for the sixth time in the last seven Dad Vail regattas.
 
Varsity Eight:
Maggie Dunn (Haddonfield/Haddon Twp.), Giavonna Terruso-Emmons (Mays Landing/Cedar Creek), Olivia Wagner (Lafayette/High Point), Ashley Timm (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT), Reilly Deschenes (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.), Breanna Blisard (Galloway/Cedar Creek), Megan Baldwin (Brigantine/Holy Spirit), Sydney Rowand (Barrington/Haddon Hts.) and coxswain Thalia Gonzalez (Moorestown/Moorestown)
 
Stockton finished third in the grand final on Sunday with a time of 7:08.070 for the bronze medal, trailing Catholic (6:48.950) and Vassar (6:49.420). On Saturday, the Ospreys finished in 7:10.533 for sixth out of 11 in the time trial. Stockton then placed second behind Vassar in its semifinal run at 7:18.770 to earn a spot in the grand final.
 
Second Varsity Eight:
Reese Weirick (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley), Ixanna Torres (Atlantic City/Atlantic City), Keira Kenney (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT), Lex Zang (San Carlos, Calif./Carlmont), Gabriella Nguyen (Pennsauken/Pennsauken), Maria Fazio (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forrest Hills Northern), Sam Moore (Egg Harbor City/Absegami), Eliza Leonardo-Paczkowski (Mishawaka, Ind./South Bend) and coxswain Mackenzie Sutton (Galloway/Cedar Creek)
 
The Stockton 2V8 finished seventh out of 11 in the time trial at 7:25.721 and then placed fourth in the semifinal with a time of 7:45.080 that put them in the petite final. The Ospreys finished second out of four in the petite final with a time of 7:34.060 that trailed winner Bryn Mawr by just 2.03 seconds.
 
Frosh/Novice Four:
Maddy Mehler (Rydal, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie), Julia Emer (Jackson/Grunin Performing Arts Academy), Estrella Figueroa (Galloway/Absegami), Alexa Shallcross (Ocean City/Ocean City) and coxswain Sam Moore (Egg Harbor City/Absegami)
 
The Stockton four, made up entirely of freshmen, began their weekend with seventh place out of 11 in the time trial at 8:26.195. In the semifinal, the Ospreys placed fifth at 9:03.940, and they followed with second out of five teams behind Jefferson in Final #2 with a time of 8:50.670.
