Stockton University Athletics

Glenside, PA – Stockton University (1-3-2) played the first of three matches this week and came away with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Arcadia University (1-2-2) on Monday night for their first win of 2026. Joseph A. Carbone (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) led the offense with a goal, which included the game winner, and assist in the match.
 
Freshman Cooper Adinolfi (Medford/Shawnee) got the scoring started at 30:07 for his fourth goal of the season and second in as many games. That lead lasted all of 50 seconds when the Knights knotted the contest at 1-1 that would last until the break.
 
In the 56th minute of the second half, Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) scored his first tally of the season after some nifty passing. Carbone lifted a pass to Adinolfi who's header found Hoenisch for the marker. The helper was the first of Adinolfi's career.
 
The Knights tied the game in the 70th minute on a penalty kick for the 2-2 tie, setting up the thrilling ending.
 
At 83:58, Andrew Gallardo (Cherry Hill/Cherry Hill East) sprinted down the left side, where he found a streaking Carbone in front and his one touch goal gave the Stockton the eventual game winning score. It was Gallardo's first career point at Stockton. The Osprey defense held the Knights off the board the rest of the way and gave Stockton a 3-2 victory.
 
Freshman Cole Butler (Marlton/Cherokee) made two saves in earning his first career win in net.
 
Randy Heidorn made seven saves for the Knights, as Stockton held a 19-9 advantage in shots with 10 on net for the match.
 
Stockton will have their second straight road tilt on Wednesday when the Ospreys travel to Baltimore, MD for a match against Notre Dame of Maryland. Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
