Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (4-2) prevailed 5-4 in overtime over Alvernia University (2-4) in a game that was tied at 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 and 4-4 before the Ospreys won in OT on a goal by
Meghan Phillips (Somers Point/Holy Spirit).
Stella Devlin (Millville/St. Joseph Academy) got the scoring started 7:04 into the game but Alvernia answered just over four minutes later. In the second quarter,
Jenna Gregula (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) put the Ospreys on top 2-1 for three minutes before the Golden Wolves tied the game again.
After Alvernia pulled ahead 3-2,
Leah Bruchansky (Medford/Shawnee) netted the equalizer with 33 seconds left in the first half for a 3-3 deadlock.
Jessica Bruther (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) scored in the third quarter to put Stockton in front 3-2.
The Ospreys were less than four minutes from victory however Alvernia's Hadley Lewicki tied the game again at 4-4 with just 3:33 left in regulation. The teams played 4:07 of extra time until Phillips stickhandled into open space and potted the game-winner that gave Stockton a 5-4 triumph.

Delfina Vanelli (Galloway/Cedar Creek) collected the win. Jazmin Mayfield made 11 saves for Alvernia.
Stockton will play its next three games on the road, starting with a matchup at Widener on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
