Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (2-1-3) dealt Marywood University (5-1-1) its first loss of the season with a 1-0 victory by the Ospreys at G. Larry James Stadium.
Stockton went on the attack in the second half and was rewarded with a penalty kick in the 60th minute. Senior back
Erin Lally (Lumberton/Rancocas Valley) stepped to the penalty spot and fired a shot to the low left corner for her first career goal.
Lally's successful penalty kick proved to be the difference in the 1-0 Stockton triumph. Ospreys' goalkeeper
Tori Vliet (Marmora/Ocean City) made three saves for her third shutout of the season. Marywood keeper Genevieve Morrison recorded five saves for the visitors.
Stockton will start a three-game road swing at Centenary on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
