Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University hosted fellow CWGC member Kean University and NCAA Division I squad LaSalle University in the Ron Jaworski Golf Tri-Match at Blue Heron Pines on Sunday afternoon.
 
Playing their first tournament in three weeks, the young Osprey team posted a score of 438 that was a 56-stroke improvement from the season opener. All seven Stockton players at the tournament are in either their first or second year of college golf.
 
Kylie Hague (Vineland/Vineland) topped the Ospreys with a 102 that was good for eighth place out of 17 golfers in her first tournament of the season. Hague made two pars during a three-hole stretch of the back nine, on which the sophomore shot a 49.
 
Nataly Castro (Galloway/Absegami) finished 12th with a 107 that was one stroke off her career best. Castro parred one hole on each nine. Freshman Sami Matey (Manahawkin/Liberty University Online Academy) shot a 110 and finished 13th in her first college tournament. Matey's 52 on the back nine was the second-best nine by a Stockton player on the day.
 
Freshman Mia Kaczmarski (Seaville/Ocean City) was one stroke back at 111 for 14th place, followed by Zoe Grom (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) in 15th place with a 112. Sophia Mazowski (Vineland/Vineland) was next with a 113 and Alanna Lloyd (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) shot a 115 for the Ospreys.
 
Stockton will play next in the Arcadia Golden Oaks Shootout on September 27-28.
