Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (2-1) played their third game in the first six days of the season and suffered their first setback as the Ospreys fell to fifth-ranked Salisbury University (2-0) 1-0. Stockton played well but couldn't break through for a goal.

Delfina Vanelli (Galloway/Cedar Creek) made a career-high nine saves for the second straight game and
Jessica Bruther (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) contributed a defensive save.
The Sea Gulls got on the board on a penalty corner just 7:12 into the game as Ryan Long fired a blast into the cage. The Osprey defense held fast for the rest of the contest and Stockton generated its best offensive chances on three penalty corners in the fourth quarter.
All three corners resulted in shots on goal, but two tries by
Maura Somers (Berlin/Eastern Regional) and one off the stick of
Jenna Gregula (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) were saved by Salisbury goalkeeper Maddie Castaneda, who finished with four stops in the shutout.
Stockton will have nearly a week off before traveling to University of Scranton next Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. game.
