(Cortland, NY) – Richard Stockton (3-1) finished third out of 12 teams at the Red Dragon Classic after splitting two matches in the championship bracket.  2011 All-America Honorable Mention Nicole Serekian (Mahwah/Mahwah) was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the Ospreys with 54 kills in four matches over the weekend.

Stockton's day began on a sour note as the Ospreys squandered a two-set lead and fell to Buffalo State 15-25, 22-25, 25-23, 26-24, 15-10 despite 17 kills and 15 digs by Serekian.  Stephanie Warner (Totowa/Passaic Valley) and Kasey Hennecke (Fair Lawn/Fair Lawn) contributed 12 kills apiece while setters Shannon Clark (Folsom, PA/Ridley) and Mayan Alvarado (Gainesville, FL/P.K. Yonge) dished 26 and 22 assists respectively.

Stockton rebounded to win the third-place match over Skidmore in four sets, 25-23, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17 behind 12 kills apiece from Serekian and Warner.  Clark handed out a team-high 19 assists and Alvarado chipped in with 15 helpers and six kills for the Ospreys.

Stockton returns to Galloway to play its home opener against Stevens on Wednesday, September 5 at 7 pm.
