(Galloway, NJ) – Richard Stockton (3-1) exploded for 11 goals in the first half and cruised to a 17-3 victory over Maritime College (0-2) on Wednesday afternoon.
Nicole Miller (Southampton/Seneca) led the charge with five goals and two assists. Stockton outshot the Privateers 30-10 for the game.
The Ospreys wasted no time in opening the scoring during the first 30 minutes of play. They potted four goals in a span of 1:36, led by two from
Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) for a quick 4-0 lead. Stockton then closed out the first stanza by netting another seven tallies with Miller nailing three markers for an 11-0 lead at the half.
The second half was more of the same as
Kim Raichelson (Brick/Brick Memorial) picked up her second score of the game followed by Kramer and Miller with two markers each and
Carlie Flake (Tabernacle/Seneca) with one tally as the Ospreys cruised to the 17-3 victory.
In addition to Miller's big afternoon, Kramer also scored five times with Flake and Raichelson netting two goals each.
Jenny Carpenter (Egg Harbor City/Absegami) scored one goal and dished two assists to aid the cause.
Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) picked up her first career win, making one save without allowing a goal.
Rianna Martorano (Manahawkin/Southern) played the second half, kicking out five shots.
Jane Quinn led the Privateers with two of their three goals, all in the second half. Meghin Paczkowski made three saves in taking the loss for Maritime College.
Stockton will play their second straight home game when they will face Bryn Athyn on Saturday afternoon for a 1 pm matchup.
