(Galloway, NJ) – Highlighted by the first career goals of
Kate Bennett (Egg Harbor City/Absegami),
Monica Barysh (Manalapan/Manalapan),
Lindsay Roof (Galloway/Absegami) and
Toni Roma (West Long Branch/Shore Regional), Richard Stockton (4-1) used a 15-goal first half onslaught and rolled to an18-5 win over Bryn Athyn (1-3) on Saturday afternoon. The game was the first contest ever between the teams, both of which are in their first season of intercollegiate play.

With Stockton holding a slim 2-1 margin early in the first half, the Ospreys exploded for six tallies in a 3:12 span to take a commanding 8-1 lead.
Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) potted two of her three markers on the day during the spurt. Stockton then rolled up seven more unanswered scores, topped by two from
Nicole Miller (Southampton/Seneca) and the first ever by Bennett and Roof to close out the first half leading 15-1.

Bryn Athyn outscored Stockton 4-3 during the second half, with Barysh, Roma and
Ciarra Stroud (Medford/Shawnee) picking up the tallies for the Ospreys to set the final score at 18-5 in Stockton's favor.

In addition to Miller and Knight picking up hat tricks,
Kelsey Perst (Blairstown/North Warren) and
Alicia Leadbeater (Franklinville/Delsea) added two markers each.
Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) dished four assists with
Carlie Flake (Tabernacle/Seneca) adding two more helpers.

Sierra Asplundh scored three of the five Lions goals to lead Bryn Athyn.

Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) started for Stockton, playing the first half and making just one save in earning the victory.
Rianna Martorano (Manahawkin/Southern) replaced her to play the final 30 minutes and make three saves. Karla Hyatt took the loss for the Lions kicking out four Osprey attempts.

Stockton will play again on Thursday at Bard for a 7 pm matchup.
