(Rosemont, PA) – Richard Stockton (7-1) extended their winning streak to five straight as they downed Rosemont College (2-4) 16-4 on Saturday afternoon. The Ospreys outscored the Ravens 10-1 during the first half and outshot their opponents 31-6 for the game.
Stockton wasted no time in getting the scoring underway as
Jenny Carpenter (Egg Harbor City/Galloway scored just 50 seconds into the contest.
Carlie Flake (Tabernacle/Seneca) tallied twice with
Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) adding another marker during a stretch of three goals in two minutes for a 4-0 lead before the Ravens broke through for a score.
After that it was all Ospreys as
Nicole Miller (Southampton/Seneca) scored three times with
Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) chipping in with two more goals.
Kim Raichelson (Brick/Brick Memorial) hit the net for the other tally to make it a commanding 10-1 advantage for Stockton after 30 minutes of play.
The second half was more of the same as Raichelson scored twice more, with Flake, Miller, Kramer and
Alicia Leadbeater (Franklinville/Delsea) offsetting three scores by Rosemont to set the final score of 16-4 in Stockton's five consecutive victory.
Miller led the way with four goals and six ground balls while Flake and Raichelson added three tallies each. Kramer and Knight picked up two markers apiece in the blowout. Five different Ravens scored on the day with Laura Bunyard picking up a goal and assist to lead the way.
Goalkeeper
Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) started for Stockton, playing the first half 39:16 and needing just one save in earning the victory.
Rianna Martorano (Manahawkin/Southern) played the last 20:44 without having to make a stop. Nia Hall took the loss for Rosemont, kicking out 12 Osprey attempts.
Stockton will play again on Tuesday at home against Cedar Crest for a 7 pm matchup.
