Stockton Rolls to Second Straight Win, 13-0


(Galloway, NJ) - Richard Stockton (2-0) scored 45 seconds into their second game ever and rolled to a convincing 13-0 win over Lancaster Bible (0-2) on Tuesday night for the Ospreys' first shutout in school history. Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) continued her torrid start with three tallies, giving her nine goals to start the season, plus one assist. Rebecca Nesterwitz also totaled four points on two goals and two assists.

Ciarra Stroud (Medford/Shawnee) got the scoring started for the Ospreys with her first marker of the night 45 seconds into the match to give Stockton a 1-0 lead. Nesterwitz scored twice in a span of 24 seconds to put Stockton up 3-0 and the rout was on. Stroud and Kramer scored to give Stockton a 5-0 advantage with just 2:46 gone.

The Ospreys hit the net four more times in a span of 2:27 to get the score to 9-0. Carlie Flake (Tabernacle/Seneca), Jenny Carpenter (Egg Harbor City/Absegami), Kramer and Kaitlynn Goula (Manahawkin/Southern) tallied the unassisted goals. Flake and Kramer collaborated on two more markers assisting on each other's goals before Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) got into the act with a helper from Nesterwitz to round out the first half with Stockton up 12-0.

Goula picked up her second goal of the night from Nesterwitz with 11:21 gone in the second half to set the final score at 13-0. The game was stopped due to an injury to one of the Lancaster Bible players with 7:57 remaining in the contest.

Kramer Stockton goalkeeper Rianna Martorano (Manahawkin/Southern) played the first half and picked up her second win of the season without making a save. Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) finished up the last 22:03, also without having to stop a shot.

Fran Torres made three saves in 24:08, taking the loss for the Chargers. Cheyenne Benson played 27:55 without making a save in net.

Stockton will be back in action on Saturday afternoon as they will travel to Albright for a 1 pm matchup.
