Stockton Wins Sixth Straight with 19-2 Rout


(Galloway, NJ) – Richard Stockton (8-1) continued their winning ways as they won the sixth consecutive game with a dominant 19-2 victory over Cedar Crest College (0-6) on Tuesday night. Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) led the way with five goals with Jenny Carpenter (Egg Harbor City/Absegami) dishing a career-high five assists on the evening.
 
Stockton broke out with four goals in the first 4:12 of the game as Carlie Flake (Tabernacle/Seneca), Kramer, Nicole Miller (Southampton/Seneca) and Kim Raichelson (Brick/Brick Memorial) tallied for the Ospreys. Kramer also dished helpers on two of the goals.
 
After a Falcons' score, Stockton rattled off seven straight tallies to make it 11-1. Alicia Leadbeater (Franklinville/Delsea) and Rebecca Nesterwitz (Toms River/Toms River South) netted counters while Kramer added three more to her total. Miller chipped in with two scores, with Flake garnering the other tally for a 12-2 halftime lead.
 
Kelsey Perst (Blairstown/North Warren) scored two of the seven unanswered goals in the second half as the Ospreys cruised home for the win at 19-2. Flake, Kramer, Nesterwitz, Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) and Kate Bennett (Egg Harbor City/Absegami) also found the net during the second stanza as Stockton rolled.
 
In addition to her five scores, Kramer dished three assists for eight points, with Miller and Flake picking up hat tricks and Miller adding two assists for a five-point night. Osprey netminder Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) earned the win making two saves in the first half. Rianna Martorano (Manahawkin/Southern) played the second half, making three saves.
 
Vivianna Samite and Amber Wehry scored for the Falcons. Nicole Rivera took the loss in net kicking out 14 shots
 
Stockton will take to the road for their first ever NJAC game as they will play Montclair State on Saturday at 1 pm. The Red Hawks are unbeaten and also receiving votes in the last IWLCA Division III poll.
