(Galloway, NJ) – Richard Stockton (9-5, 1-4 NJAC) was overmatched on Tuesday night as they dropped a 17-0 decision to The College of New Jersey (13-1, 5-0). The Lions are ranked #4 nationally by the Intercollegiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Stockton was outshot 25-4 for the game, generating just two shots on goal, while picking up four draw controls to 15 for TCNJ. The fledgling Ospreys played their first game ever against a ranked opponent and suffered their third consecutive loss.
The Lions wasted no time scoring, starting at the 25:27 mark when they potted the first of four goals in a span of 2:09 to start the rout. They added to their lead to take a 12-0 advantage into the break.
Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) registered Stockton's lone shot of the first half.
TCNJ scored three more goals in the first nine minutes of the second half before the Ospreys finally got their first chance as
Carlie Flake (Tabernacle/Seneca) fired a shot that was knocked away by Lions' goalkeeper Kelly Schlupp at the 20:40 mark. Knight, who had a team-high three shots, also put an attempt on net but that too was kicked out by Schlupp. Two more tallies by TCNJ set the 17-0 final score.

Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) took the loss, making two saves in the first half before giving way to
Rianna Martorano (Manahawkin/Southern), who played the entire second half.
Jen Garavente led the Lions with five goals and three assists on the evening. Lauren Pigott added three markers while Kendal Borup chipped in with two goals and two assists. Schlupp made two saves in earning the shutout victory.
Stockton will play their last regular season game on Saturday when they travel to Ramapo for a 1 pm match.
