Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University junior
Erik Ackerman (Long Valley/West Morris Central) won the NJAC individual cross country title and Stockton finished third in the team competition at the NJAC Championship. The conference meet was held on Stockton's home course.
Ackerman topped the field of 88 runners with a time of 26:01.1 for eight kilometers to win by five seconds in unseasonably warm conditions for the end of October. He became the third Osprey in program history to win the NJAC individual title (Abad Akhtar 2010,
Cooper Knorr 2020).
Shane McDeivtt (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) finished 21st with a time of 27:25.8 and
Angelo Moynihan (Brigantine/Atlantic City) placed 27th at 27:55.4.
The final two scorers for the Ospreys were
Dalton Culleny (Mullica Twp./Cedar Creek) in 29th place with a time of 27:57.7 followed by
Sam Tenenbaum (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) one second later in 30th place at 27:58.5.
Stockton will compete in the NCAA Metro Regional at Dream Park in Logan Township, N.J. on November 11.
