Erik Ackerman (Long Valley/West Morris Central) earned his third career NJAC all-conference honor in men's cross country with his performance at the NJAC Championships on Saturday. Ackerman led Stockton to third place at the conference meet, the third consecutive third-place finish for the Ospreys.
Ackerman qualified for the NJAC First Team for the second straight year by finishing second out of 89 runners at the NJAC Championships with an 8K time of 25:18.8. Ackerman was in top two at all four checkpoints during the race before crossing the finish line second.
Ackerman, the 2023 NJAC champion and NJAC Runner of the Year, is now a three-time all-conference honoree in men's cross country (2023-24 First Team, 2022 NJAC Second Team).
