2025 Stockton Men’s Cross Country Recap

Overview
Stockton Men's Cross Country ran in seven meets during the 2025 season, with the campaign starting on the first Saturday in September and building to the NJAC Championships and NCAA Regionals in November.
 
Stockton received contributions from its senior class as well as several freshmen and sophomores. Of the 35 scoring spots over the course of seven races, 16 were filled by seniors followed by 12 from sophomores and seven by freshmen. Overall, 10 different Ospreys scored at least once for head coach Jayson Resch.
 
Stockton finished third at the NJAC Championships for the fourth straight year and then placed eighth at the NCAA Regionals for its fifth consecutive top-nine finish in that meet.

Highlights
  • Sophomore Conor Clifford made a big impact in his first season at Stockton after joining the team as a transfer from Georgia. Clifford scored at all six meets in which he competed. He was Stockton's top finisher four times, including the NCAA Regionals, and second finisher twice. Clifford's time of 25:45.4 at the Border Battle was the fastest by an Osprey this season.
  • Senior Josh Corsentino also scored at all six meets that he entered. Corsentino was Stockton's top finisher twice, highlighted by ninth place at the NJAC Championships. He also was the second Osprey across the finish line behind Clifford four times as well as the only Stockton runner to earn both all-conference and all-region honors.
  • Senior Joey Addeo ran in all seven races and scored five times for the Ospreys. Addeo was Stockton's top runner at the season-opening Stevens Back to the Bowl Invitational and third finisher behind Clifford and Corsentino at the Osprey Open and Paul Short Run.
  • Shane McDevitt was another contributor from Stockton's senior class. McDevitt scored at four of the five meets in which he competed. He was the third finisher for the Ospreys at the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge and the NCAA Regionals.
  • Freshmen Muhammad Khan and Zach Hutchinson were the top rookies for the Ospreys as they scored at four and three meets respectively. Khan collected the NJAC Rookie of the Week award after his first college race.
  • Sophomores Dan Mine and Patrick Storti chipped in during their second year on the team. Mine was one of Stockton's five scorers three times and Storti came on late in the season and scored at the NJAC Championships and NCAA Regionals.
  • Senior Jack Cordiano and sophomore JackEdward Schmick each scored at the season-opening Stevens Back to the Bowl Invitational to help Stockton finish fourth out of 10 teams.
