Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University junior Michaela Pomatto (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) was named NJAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season. Pomatto received the award for her performance at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships.
 
Pomatto shattered her own school record in the discus by 1.64 meters and finished second out of 22 with a throw of 47.15 meters. She moved up five spots to 11th in NCAA Division III with the throw.
 
Pomatto broke the school record on her fifth attempt out of six and took the lead with the distance before she was surpassed by Makenna King of St. John Fisher in the last round and placed second. Pomatto improved two spots after finishing fourth at the AARTFC Championships last year.
 
Pomatto will compete in the discus at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
