Fleetwood, Pa. – Three Stockton University women's golf team members played in the two-day Golden Oaks Shootout hosted by Arcadia University. The Osprey trio competed in a field of 38 players from eight different schools.
 
Elenora Byrne (Princeton Junction/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) finished 20th with a total of 176 for 36 holes. Byrne shot an 87, one off her career best, on the first day that was highlighted by seven pars including a run of three straight on the back nine. The junior followed by an 89 in round two that included six pars, with another stretch of three straight on the back nine.
 
Paula Handel (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) placed 34th at 207 for her two rounds. Handel made three pars on the way to a 106 in the first round. The senior then shot a career-best 101 in the second round. Handel birdied the third hole and parred three holes on the back nine on the way to her best college score.
 
Lexi Hughes (Galloway/Absegami) posted rounds of 138 and 137 for a total of 275 that tied for 37th place.
 
Stockton will compete next in the Ursinus Fall Invitational at Turtle Creek Golf Club on October 10 at 8:30 a.m.
