Kenilworth, N.J. – Stockton University finished second out of three teams in the Kean Invitational at Galloping Hill Golf Course. The Ospreys posted a team score of 370 strokes that placed ahead of Marywood (390) but behind tournament host Kean (357).
Elenora Byrne (Princeton Jct./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) won out of 18 golfers in the field with a career-best round of 76. Bryne was the only player to break 80, and she won by four strokes.
Ava Kinkler (Northfield/Mainland) placed sixth with a 94 that was the second-best score of her seven career rounds.
Zoe Grom (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) shot a 98 for ninth place.
Kylie Hague (Vineland/Vineland) completed Stockton's quartet of scorers with a 102 that was good for 11th place.
Sophia Mazowski (Vineland/Vineland) shot a 106 and
Nataly Castro (Galloway/Absegami) carded a 116 for the Ospreys.
Stockton will play in the Arcadia Knight Spring Invitational at Rancocas Golf Club on Sunday.
