Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University senior
Elenora Byrne (Princeton Junction/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) was chosen CWGC Golfer of the Week by the Colonial Women's Golf Conference. Byrne won both tournaments that Stockton played last week.
Byrne shot a career-best 76 to take the top spot out of 18 golfers in the Kean Invitational at Galloping Hill Golf Course on April 17. The senior was the only golfer to break 80, and she won by four strokes.
Byrne followed with her third straight tournament win and sixth of the season at the Arcadia Knight Spring Invitational. After shooting a 49 on the front nine, she started the back nine with five straight pars on the way to a 41 for a total of 90 that won by three strokes in the field of 15 players.
Byrne leads the team with a scoring average of 86.2 strokes in 11 rounds played this year. Stockton Women's Golf will finish the 2025-26 season by competing in the Conquer the Island Tournament at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort on Wednesday at noon.
