Kenilworth, N.J. – Stockton University finished second out of three teams in the Kean Tri-Match at Galloping Hills Golf Club on Sunday. The Ospreys posted a team score of 405 that topped FDU-Florham by six but trailed winner Kean with 377.
Elenora Byrne (Princeton Jct./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) won in a field of 17 golfers with a season-best round of 81 that equaled the third-best round of her career.
Teammates
Zoe Grom (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) and
Nataly Castro (Galloway/Absegami) tied for 12th place with matching scores of 106 that were career bests for each player.
Sophia Mazowski (Vineland/Vineland) and
Kylie Hague (Vineland/Vineland) tied for 15th place by shooting 112 apiece. Hague's score was the best of her career so far.
Stockton will host a tri-match at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club on October 19 at 1:00 p.m.
