Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University freshman forward
Zemirah Enalls (Barnegat/Barnegat) was chosen NJAC Rookie of the Week after a spectacular debut in her first college game for the Ospreys.
Enalls led Stockton to a 65-54 victory over Penn State Harrisburg in the season opener on Saturday. The rookie posted a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds, both of which were game highs, in just 18 minutes played.
Enalls shot 61.5% (8-13) from the floor while also blocking a pair of shots in the victory. Nine of her 11 boards came off the offensive glass, and her 11 rebounds were the most by an NJAC player in any of the seven games that conference teams played over the opening weekend.
The Stockton women's basketball team will travel to Reading, Pa. for their next game on Wednesday night to face Albright College. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
