11/4/2025 11:02:00 AM

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University collected two NJAC postseason awards and eight all-conference honors in men's soccer for the 2025 season. The eight Ospreys have led Stockton to a 10-4-5 record and the No. 2 seed in the NJAC Tournament. Three of the honorees earned all-conference nods for the third time in their careers.

Senior Uche Wokocha (Galloway/St. Augustine Prep) was voted Pat Baldiserra NJAC Midfielder of the Year and the Osprey coaching staff of Greg Ruttler, Evan Brosniak, Nenad Gorgiev, Alexis Mendoza, Luis Paz and Joseph Carbone was selected as the Jeff Haines NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year. The coaching award was the second for Ruttler in 11 seasons as head coach (2015, 2025).

Wokocha and junior Ernst Louisius (Asbury Park/Neptune) earned NJAC First Team nods. Seniors Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) and Dawson Joseph (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) were NJAC Second Team selections.

NJAC Honorable Mention awards went to Nico Calambas (Galloway/Absegami), Noah Jones (Freehold/Freehold Twp.), Kieran Sundermann (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands), and goalkeeper Kyle Birmingham (Budd Lake/Mt. Olive). Sundermann and Birmingham received all-conference recognition for the first time in their careers.

Louisius, who was elevated to the NJAC First Team this season after an NJAC Second Team spot last year, leads the team and stands third in the NJAC with 10 goals (3rd in NJAC). The forward also has one assist for 21 points, which is fourth in the conference.

Wokocha became the first Osprey ever to receive the NJAC Midfielder of the Year accolade since the award was created in 2007. He earned his third straight all-conference selection after NJAC Honorable Mention in 2023 and NJAC Second Team in 2024.

Wokocha has set career highs with five goals and four assists for 14 points while controlling the midfield this season. The senior compiled 10 points during a four-game point streak from October 1-11.

Hoenisch rebounded after missing last year due to injury. In addition to scoring five goals, he is tied for third in the NJAC with a team-high seven assists and tied for ninth with 17 points. This is Hoenisch's third all-conference selection after NJAC Second Team and NJAC Rookie of the Year in 2022 followed by NJAC First Team in 2023.

Joseph earned his second all-conference nod, moving up to NJAC Second Team after an NJAC Honorable Mention spot in 2023. The senior's defensive prowess has helped Stockton post seven shutouts and a sterling 0.84 goals against average this year. He scored his second career goal against NJCU on October 4.

Jones, Calambas and Sundermann joined Joseph on the defense corps that is second in the NJAC in goals against average (0.84) and tied for third in shutouts (7). They have held opponents to just 16 goals overall. Jones was named to NJAC Honorable Mention after NJAC Second Team in 2024 while Calambas earned his second straight Honorable Mention award.

Sundermann earned his first career all-conference selection for a solid season in which he is second on the team and tied for eighth in the NJAC with five assists to go along with his defensive play.

Birmingham came on late in net for the Ospreys, starting the final five regular season games, all conference matches, and allowing just two goals for a spectacular 0.40 goals against average. During a run of over 280 scoreless minutes, he posted three consecutive shutouts and earned an NJAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the first time in his career.
