Staten Island, N.Y. – Eight Stockton University student-athletes competed in six events at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet, which was held at Ocean Breeze on Friday. The Ospreys recorded one school record, one time for the national qualifying list and several personal bests.
 
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) won the 800m in a field of 24 runners and moved into 11th in the nation with a time (2:11.52) that was just a half-second off her own school record. Amanda McNally (Tabernacle/Seneca) broke the 12-year-old school record in the 1000m and finished second out of seven runners (3:01.34).
 
Maddy Valasek (Medford/Shawnee) notched a personal best and finished fourth out of 21 in the mile (5:08.91). Eva Morrison (Northfield/Mainland) cleared an indoor personal best in the pole vault (3.48m) and finished sixth while freshman Sydney Rick (Pennington/Hopewell Valley) placed eighth with a personal best (3.03m).
 
Kayla Sullivan (Manahawkin/Delaware Valley) ran a personal best and finished seventh out of 17 runners in the 400m (59.70 seconds).
 
Stockton could have entrants in as many as four events at the NCAA Championships, which will be at Nazareth University in Rochester, N.Y. on March 14-15.
