Kenilworth, N.J. – Both Stockton University women's golfers played in the Kean Tournament at Galloping Hill Golf Club, competing as individuals. The tournament was the first of four events for the Osprey duo this spring.
 
 Elenora Byrne (Princeton Jct./West Windsor-Plainsboro North) shot a career-best 78 for her second career tournament win. Byrne topped the field of 12 by 15 strokes. The junior shot a 43 on the front nine and a torrid 35 on the back nine. Byrne's round was highlighted by an "albatross", which is the nickname for a score of two on a par five.
 
Lexi Hughes (Galloway/Absegami) also played in the tournament for Stockton, shooting 74 on the front nine and 71 on the back nine for a total of 145.
 
Stockton will compete in the Ocean County College Spring Invitational on the Bay Course at Seaview Golf Club on Monday at noon.
