Glassboro, N.J. – Stockton University competed in the Oscar Moore Invitational at Rowan University on a damp, misty Saturday. Chris Griffin (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) finished third out of 24 throwers in the javelin (56.25m) to lead the Ospreys.
 
Carson Latham (Bordentown/Bordentown) qualified fifth out of 66 sprinters in the prelims of the 100m (10.94 seconds) and then ran 10.91 seconds as one of just two competitors that chose to participate in the final.
 
Mike Carfagno (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) finished sixth out of 35 in the shot put (13.58m) and two Stockton runners did well in races with long lists of entrants. Patrick Storti (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) placed 10th out of 67 runners in the 1500m (4:15.03) and Joseph deBeaumont (Blackwood/Highland) was 12th out of 66 in the 800m (1:57.81).
 
deBeaumont, Landon Jenter (Voorhees/Eastern Regional), Eduardo Ruiz-Giuseppi (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) and Stanley Eloy (Galloway/Absegami) defeated SUNY Delhi in a head-to-head race in the 4x400 relay (3:32.58).
 
In addition to the Stockton team competing in the Oscar Moore Invitational, Dan Squicciarini (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) ran in the 3000m steeplechase at the TCNJ Invitational and Multi on Friday, finishing second out of eight (10:09.02).
 
Stockton will compete in the Widener Invitational on April 18-19.
